Fashion Show

On Thursday I went to the Isolated Heroes Film Launch and Fashion Show! Click here to go to their shop on Asos Marketplace. Isolated Heroes is run by a girl named Samantha Mcewan. Her stuff is really fun and is inspired my 90's club scene - you wont find anything like it anywhere else!

So, first of all my initial thought was "What do you wear to a fashion show?". So I decided to go kind of casual. This is what I came up with...
Outfit
Top - Custom top by me
Skirt - Topshop
Jewellery - New look

So the show consisted of a fashion show - with some pole dancers dancing at the same time - and the film launch! I took some of my own photographs of the models and the pole dancers who were all wearing outfits by Isolated Heroes.

These bottom two photos were not taken by me,
they were off the Isolated Heroes facebook page.

The brilliant artist who created the wonderful make-up designs for the show is Jillian Elizabeth Crabb! She is actually one of my good friends and when she saw me walking through the door she took full advantage of me..
I actually love the lipstick! Click here to go to Jillians make-up facebook page!
And finally, the professional photographs and the film were done by Ross Mclean! He is an amazing photographer and here is a link to his page!

So tell me what you think! Do you like the clothes and make-up? What would you of worn to a fashion show? Tell me your thoughts!

Black T Phase 2

Okay, so last night I completed the customization's on my black t-shirt from the last post. In this phase I added studs to the t-shirt!
Here's how I did it..

Step 1: Equipment
- The t-shirt (obviously)
- Your chosen studs (I got mine from a great ebay shop! here)
- Pliers

Step 2: Adding the studs
- Push the studs through the fabric until you can see the fasteners on the underside of the fabric (below)
- Okay now you need to use your pliers. You DO NOT need to open them. Just use the flat edge of the pliers to push the fasteners down to secure the stud.

Step 3: Repeat
- Ta-dahh!
- Now that you've done one you just need to repeat it to complete your garment!

- Finished product (below)

Now my top is complete! Tell me what you think? Did you find my instructions easy to understand? I've tried my best to keep them simple. Tell me your opinion :)

Black T

Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted much this week! My laptop is broken so I am now using the family pc. Anyway... I have been doing a lot of experimental dying with t-shirts recently (posts about them coming up real soon!) and I thought to myself, okay I'll wear a plain black T that way if i get any dye on it it won't matter right? Wrong! I did get dye on it and it left a bit of a grey stain which I was rather sad about. Then it came to me, why not just experiment with this t-shirt too? So, here's what I did..

Firstly I decided I was going to tie-dye the top with bleach because obviously coloured dye wont show up on a black top. (By the way, I'm really silly and forgot to take a before picture so I've took a picture off Google to show what my top looked like before.)

Step 1: Equipment
- Elastic bands
- Milton (bleach)
- Spray bottle
- Gloves

Step 2: Tie-ing
- Use elastic bands to tie around areas of the top to create resistance patches
- Repeat on desired areas of the garment
- Your top/garment should now look something like this (below)

Step 3: Dying
- Pour some of the Milton into the spray bottle with a little bit of water
- Put your gloves on
- SPRAY!
- Leave to dry over night
TOP TIP - Always rinse your garment after you have finished spraying it

Step 4: Finished Product

Front

Back

Now it looks like a brand new top! Let me know what you think of my instructions, I hope they are clear enough! And stay tuned for part 2 for the introduction of some studs!

Olympics

So as the London Olympics come to a close I just wanted to take some time to reflect on some of my favourite athletes!

Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins of Team GB Celebrate their Olympic Gold Medal in the Women's Double Sculls final!

Victoria Pendleton didn't win gold in her final race but she has had a tremendous career and I think we should pay great respect to her. Also, her rival Anna Meares who raced brilliantly to win the gold!

Micheal Phelps. The most decorated Olympian there is. Enough said.

The Dream Team. Now I know they haven't won anything yet but these guys are awesome to watch and you just gotta appreciate greatness!

Laura Trott, the new face of the Women's Omnium. I think she is an inspiration. 20 years old and with a gold medal already, wow!

So being British I am very proud of this man, Sir Chris Hoy. However, being Scottish I am even more proud! He is the best that we've seen and I am a bit gutted that he won't be at the Rio Olympics but he will forever be the best!

Now I have always loved gymnastic and I was really proud and excited when I watched the men's GB gymnastic team take Bronze, what a buzz!

Mo Farah, born in Somalia moved to Britain when he was 8 years old. Fast forward 21 years and hes now a double Olympic Gold Champion in the 5000m and 10000m!

Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hosking holding their gold medal in their first ever Olympics! And to think that a few years ago they were the last pick in the British team!

Andy Murray. He won his gold in Tennis in the Wimbledon courts to the same man that beat him in the Wimbledon final! The next tournament is now a free-for-all!

Bradley Wiggins. After winning the tour de France he went and won gold in the Time Trial. Sports Personality of the year?

Jessica Ennis now that is an athlete! She won the Heptathelon and wow did she impress!

Cute little tom Daley won his Bronze medal last night. I am totally chuffed for the 18 year old. After a year of struggle he came through to show everyone what he can do!

I saved the best for last...Usain Bolt. The fastest man in the world. My favourite sportsman of all time. Won the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay. Period!
